Sellers' Relationships with REALTORS®

Many people don't understand the relationship REALTORS have with their clients. Sue and I feel it's important to explain our service so there are no surprises.

We are responsible for:

• Providing appropriate information for the seller to price their home.
• Marketing the home so that it is exposed to ready, willing and able buyers.
• Qualifying the buyers so the seller can make an informed decision.
• Negotiating the sale.

Sellers are responsible for:

• Pricing their home correctly so it sells within the time frame important to them.
• Preparing their home to make it suitable to show.
• Making decisions based on the information we provide them.

Keith joined Sue in the real estate business in October 2003, after being laid off from a legislative agency with the State of Michigan.

My previous life in state government interacting with all kinds of people was great experience for the real estate business.

We do this full-time, we are a full service real estate provider.

Putting home buyers and sellers together in Central Michigan

My wife, Sue Barber, and I are REALTORS in Lansing, the capital of Michigan. Sue has been selling real estate for about 12 years, but I'm relatively new to this business (more on that later).

I'm also new to this kind of technology, but I think this is going to be a great tool to help people who are interested in buying or selling their homes.  I plan to use my blog as a way to provide the public with general information about real estate, why it's important to work with a REALTOR®, and how Sue and I can help. 

We help people buy and sell homes in the Greater Lansing Area, which is roughly a 20 or so mile radius around Lansing.

I plan to keep this blog up to date and enter the information myself.
